We help you understand what estate planning really means and give you a road map for how to get your assets to the next generation as simply as possible.  We believe in simple estate plans, not in huge binders that you cannot read or understand.  We'll help you understand the estate process and the tools, and then help you decide on the best tools for your situation.  We often use transfer on death designations, wills, testamentary trusts, and powers of attorney.  We work with you and your family to make sure that there is agreement on how your estate will be handled.  We also work with your professional advisors to come up with a plan that minimizes unintended consequences.  

We help you administer and close out the estate of recently deceased loved ones.  We create a roadmap for the administration process and then execute the steps with you.  We help you determine what the deceased owned, help identify creditors, and distribute assets to heirs.  Probate and trust administration can be difficult but we're there for you every step of the way.

Two of our attorneys also have experience as real estate agents and have handled the sale of hundreds of properties.  We can help you navigate the purchase or sale of real estate, handle financing issues, and help with easements, options, and other real estate specific issues.  We also work closely with a related title company to provide title research on properties to help determine the best path forward.
